He received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science degrees in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He spent most of his career prior to opening Common Threads Coaching, LLC working in private practice and for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Staff Psychologist. He is also an adjunct professor for the Department of Psychology at Creighton University and a Disabled U.S. Military Veteran.
Through Dr. Brown's doctoral training and studies, he learned many different therapeutic techniques and theoretical backgrounds. He believes each person has unique differences so therapeutic interventions are individualized.
Dr. Brown's clinical focus is counseling individual adults and couples in the following areas:
